Walking in Oirschot: the Kampina
The Kampina is one of the gems of the Brabant landscape: vast heathlands, fens, forests, and sandy paths as far as the eye can see. In September, the heather is often still in bloom, and an atmospheric mist hangs over the fens in the morning – if you get up early, you will be rewarded with sights you won't soon forget. There are marked routes of varying lengths, so it is suitable for both a morning stroll and a strenuous day hike.
The Oirschot Heath and the Green Forest
On the other side of Oirschot lies the Oirschotse Heide: rugged, quiet, and surprisingly vast. Together with the forests of the Groene Woud, it forms a beautiful backdrop for walkers who prefer not to encounter another person. Along the way, heathland, forest, and panoramic views alternate.
